Jim managed IT for a traditional software company that transitioned to a SaaS model, a medical distributor, offshore construction, and local government. At the SaaS provider he managed the production and disaster recovery hosting, internal infrastructure, vendor management, budgeting, capacity planning, application installations and maintenance, SQL Server setup and administration, monitoring for server and applications, and SOC auditing. He also worked closely with the development team to resolve issues between the application and the infrastructure and worked with external customers to troubleshoot performance and connectivity issues.

Jim holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with a minor in Business Administration from Nicholls State University, Thibodaux, La.

Career Timeline:

2014 – 2018, Director, Data Integration, Premier, Inc.
Premier, Inc. is a publicly traded healthcare improvement and technology company. Mr. Holcomb led the data conversion team in migrating the data of new customers into Premier’s ERP systems utilizing Microsoft SQL Server 2008R2 and 2016.


2000 – 2014, Director of IT, Aperek
Aperek was a SaaS (Software as a Service) ERP software and services company for the healthcare industry. Mr. Holcomb was instrumental in bringing the hosted site online, developing disaster recovery and business continuity plans, and managing the SOC/SSAE-16 audit processes. Mr. Holcomb also managed the hosting of the SaaS application – managing and monitoring the servers, applying application updates, and working with development, support and the ERP users to ensure maximum uptime for the application.


1996 – 2000 – Director of IT, Global Software, Inc.
Global Software was an ERP software and services company serving multiple industries. Mr. Holcomb managed a diverse environment of mainframes, midrange computers, network, and desktop systems. Mr. Holcomb managed the process to consolidate network operating systems, upgrade equipment and technologies, and standardize IT processes across the company. Mr. Holcomb managed the process to split the Global Software infrastructure during the spinoff to Aperek.


1986 – 1996, IT Manager, Douglass Medical, Inc.
Douglass Medical was a distributor of orthopedic, surgical, spinal implant, and other medical products. Mr. Holcomb also managed IT for two sister companies, Biomedical Home Care and Biomedical Equipment Rentals. Mr. Holcomb implemented and supported JD Edward’s distribution system and designed and implemented applications to support the equipment rental business.
